based on several anecdotal stories, i suspect the mint is resending all returned UHR's to other customers in line. is it possible that the reshipments will ultimately skew the number of coins produced?
    thanks

From what I've read on-line, for what ever reason the US Mint is having a problem acquiring enough gold blanks to meet demand. Unfortunately, that is also affecting the other Gold Bullion Products. I was lucky to get one earlier this year. It's a very nice looking coin, but because of the thickness of the coin, looks smaller than the $50 Gold Eagle. Finally, I don't think the re-shipments will skew the number of units made since all they would need to do is look at how many UHR gold blanks were bought vs. how many were damaged or "destroyed." And from there they would be able to get a tally of how many UHR St. Gaudens were made.

I picked up one on the first day order. I hope that total stays below that of the original.

Chief, if you do sell it, make sure you get a Gaudens with a lower mintage than 65,000!
I still think the UHR is absolutely amazing, I wish to own one, one day... But a ST GAUDENS $20 will do..

    They are beautiful

I have two of the UHR. The coin in the raw state and the presentation I belive one day will be what will be sought after.
Grading is fine for those who have their own theory about the process .

Gotta agree Pep. I think the OGP will be the key to this series. So many folks are submitting these cons to TPG's and so few of the original packaged items will remain. Classy packaging to say the least. :)
