US Mint web site say some time LATE Oct. What's late Oct if the 20th is not?? So any day now.

Could someone PM me how to attempt to purchase a Buffalo proof from the mint when release next week?

Should I just attempt to logon ahead, setup an account and login the morning of release?
Or should I subscribe?
I am not a terribly big fan of the Amer. Eagles but the Buffs. are awesome.

 

Set up an account before hand, before a release day. You can enter payment information to use the quick checkout function, which helps on release days as the Mint site slows down dramatically. Log on to the site around the time the product you want is to go on sale and be patient with the check out process. As far as I can see there is no subscription set up for the Buffalos.

 

Set up an account before hand( Within the next few days). Really easy to do. If you want to get involved with all the "hype" of first day issue then log onto the website at least 15-20 minutes before the item goes on sale. Make sure you keep navigating around the site so that you don't get kicked off for "inactivity". The mint will close out your session after 30 minuets of no activity at all.

Also, if you want to take advantage of the 4.95 shipping charge, pad your order ahead of time.

LOL, I know. Just thinking if there are couple o' other items you had in mind you might want to order them all at once to save on the shipping....
