i think 31,800 pieces plus of 09 buffalo proof were paid for $1,360.00. the rest at $1,410.00.

Ready for new price hike again?. Gold hit a new high at $1,150.30 per ounce. Silver this year high at $18.88 an ounce.

Where do you sell it? Do you get the spot price minus a discount?

 

I sell it to who ever is buying for the best price. I generally call my local dealer first, then Apmex, then check ebay, maybe a few other places.... weigh my options, including shipping, insurance, silver price drop (if ebay) auction costs, paypal fees etc and see who pays the most. I wouldnt ever sell ASE under spot... $19.77 is what they are buying them for RIGHT now on apmex and thats for 09s.

 

Apmex only buys if its worth over 1k?

@ 19.77 1000$ is only 51 coins. They dont want to deal with less than 2.5 rolls I guess lol.

 

It certainly is a psychological barrier that may trigger some selling (or buying if it can stay above it). Pigs get slaughtered....so I might be taking a little of the table as well.

Much of my silver are in Peace/Morgans and it doesn't appear that the face multiples are keeping up with the rise in silver prices due to risk. Bullion bars/rounds seem to be tracking more closely.

 

I am quite interested to see if the mint ships on time. Ive got a ship date of the 19th aka tomorrow..... If its delayed 2 more weeks it will have to be over night shipped for early release.


Soon the 09 buffalo release price will be spot price and ill really think I got a great deal! heck... may even be that way by the time they ship lol

 

Mine still say in process (and in stock/reserved). I was hoping it would ship on the 20th.....

PS is it me or do the 09 buffs seem extra frosty? I held it next to my 07 and 08 and they seem dull compare to it.

Got my #2 order today and found out what the delay in shipping was.
My #1 order was shipped during the first week.....everything normal. Order #2 came today and they had small space buffer cards between the coin and COA. This means they were having QC issues with coins falling out of the box.

Check your coins rims closely.
Check for any type trash.

I did notice my first buffalo was out of its place when it arrived. I thought I said something but I cant find my comment from before.
Good they fixed that!

Even after calling NGC and talking to the lady today my coin is still in "Quality Control" She told me my grade and told me the coin was in imagine and she would try to get it out today but every time I check it still just says Quality Control. Wish they would chop chop, im impatient!

 

Well nothing shipped out yet... my first order still says "in stock and reserved". Interestingly enough the second order I placed about 8 days later says "backordered and expected to ship 11/19/2009".

The 2 orders are seperated by about 42,000 order numbers. I'm sure not all the orders were for Buffalos but I am interested to see which ones ship out first. We'll see which one wins!

Who's gonna get the first of the new batch?? You think if they ship em out on thursday we will get them on friday? Or is that asking to much?

Second, I have to agree with you about your comment. Although I don't have mine in hand, after seeing everyones pics, I decided to break out the 06 and 07 proofs (I didn't get out the 08) and I would have to say that the frosting appears dull on all those coins when compared to the pics of the 09. It could be something to do with process of creating the cameo effect. I read somewhere that the mint changed to acid etching, but I can't remember the year they did that.
