That's exactly my question. The pricing on ebay is totally irrational right now. Some of these coins are going for just about melt price, even the certified ones. They don't seem to have gone up much with the recent runup in gold prices. If the price of gold goes much higher, buying more of them might be a good alternative to buying gold bullion.

gold hit a high today at $898.50. silver traded high at 16.29 per ounce.

high or average price

to reach a high of $1,500.00 for gold might not be a problem. but remember the average price for gold on 2008 might be quite different story. i think $2,200.00 is what the economist said regarding the inflation involved as to $850.00 set during 1980's. so my prediction is between $2,000.00 and $2,200.00 will be very heavily resistance. even $1,500.00 too. i would be very happy to see the average price for 2008 at between $1,100.00 to $1,300.00 range. and for long term. it will depend on dollar fluctuation and some other factors.

when to sell?. for short term - when it hit $1,000.00. for middle term - $1,500.00, for long term - $2,200.00. what it means....

try to wait between $1,500.00 and $2,200.00. check the dollar rate against other countries. check the oil issue. check other factors like international serious crisis. world calamities. check china and india gold comsumption. check gold inventory and mining productions. all these factor could affect gold. anyway. gold will hit those prices in coming years. for me. i don't sell. maybe when i retire.
