the lowest mintages for american buffaloes (w) are the 1/2 ounce uncirculated and the 1/2 ounce proof. see these two prices in the future skyrocket to over 150% respectively.

The 1 oz Unc buffalo mintage is 10k. and has some up up and away potential. BA4 set is now also a 12/24 ship date.

 

mint start shipping buffaloes and those on hold became in process. the buffaloes delivery date can meet on time for x'mas.

Buffalo UNC 2008W set

First one I have seen sold yesterday for 2650.00. The last mint price was 1905.00 .
I was not going to purchase these but a one year only set !
Purchased two sets and two 1/2oz. Buffalo proofs.
The mint mark up is no where near most asian mints or euro mints. I did not purchase a foreign coin this year.
Wish I had purchased more of the sets.
With the spending by congress it will be difficult to see gold going real low. Even with the drop in oil, we are still captives of OPEC . Gold seems to be the hedge of choice for now.
Patinum is tricky ! Industry is way down and they use most of the platinum. The reverse 10th set could now be a buy if you hang on a few years. You are buying them at 50% off the introduction price. Just having a set would be nice.

Buffalo half oz proof

I purchased 1/2 oz proof last Sat. The ship date was 12/21 and was in stock when I ordered. I checked today and the status was on HOLD, but still said that it was in Stock. I know they sold out on Monday 12/8 because a friend had ordered early Monday think ship date was like 12/24 and was placed on waiting list. I'm calling the US Mint Monday to find out about this HOLD status, I'm hoping to get the proof.

 

Last of gold from mint

They have forwarded the final orders of the sell out units to the fulfillment center as of Friday. I received my UNC Buffalo sets , but look for the 1/2 proofs to be shipped a day or two before Christmas.

Please excuse my typing , I have fingers on both hands that are dislocated from arthritis. A couple meet with the one next to it .

Today is a good day , I have my daughters and Sons in law here for the holidays.

Okay, is a American Buffalo uncirculated coin the same as a bullion coin?

 

Techically, they are both unc, but the mint distinguishes one from the other with the "W" mintmark. According to the mint, the AGB with the mint mark is called unc and the one without is called bullion.

Hi ELAINE 1970, what do think or feel how high the price of gold will be in six months. zg

 

since most of the stock analysts predicted that second part of next year will be better or going for a recovery. i think the gold will eventually hit $1,250.00 or more. of course this is just a high. the average for next year should be around $1,000.00 - $1,100.00. others suggested even more than that.

 

i received my gold buffalo proof today. still waiting for buffalo unc. and eagle gold proof and unc.
