if you got 2008w am buffalo proof and unc gold coins and 2006w to 2008w am eagle unc gold coins. if you have one or more than one. do not sell any of it. keep it. in the future. i think those coins that i mentioned will be very profitable. few times above your cost. it's nothing. it will continue to go higher and higher even if bullion gold down.

    Got 'em, and keepin' 'em.

What I would really like to see is for the 2009 gold proofs to go on sale!!! I wish they would just quit creating new stuff to come out with, and get back to the basics!

It's October and still no AGE proof or Buffalo proof.

Will we even get them this year?

    '09 Buffalo Release

I called the US Mint Cust. Service this afternoon. The Proof '09 Buffalo will be released sometime between mid Nov and mid Dec. Yes, this year.

Unfortunately, this has not yet been added/confirmed on the US Mint Product Schedule for the year, nor has anything been put on the Subscriptions page for these products. I'm hopeful all of the coins yet to be produced this year (ASEs, AGEs, Buffalo) will yet be released and if they are released it's going to be a buying frenzy at the end of the year. It's been a very interesting year watching these products and the rest of the year should prove as exciting, just hope it's not a disappointment with no new releases.

I'm upset that they are NOT going to produce the 2009 AGE. Unbelievable! Gonna be a lot of upset collectors!
Update: Due to the continued, sustained demand for American Eagle Gold Bullion Coins, 2009-dated American Eagle Gold Proof Coins will not be produced.

all those 2006w to 2008w american eagle fractional uncirculated gold.
all those 2008w fractional american buffalo uncirculated and proof gold.
all those stated above shall continue to enjoy big price hike in the coming days.

all those 1986 to 2008 american eagle proof gold of all sizes will continue to enjoy high premium. at least 60% over bullion eagle.

This is the year that I wouldn't mind them skipping the 2009 AGB.

LOL! Yeah, the Mint is being pretty cruel this year. I'd prefer the Mint put out at least 50K of each product item they've decided to cancel instead of a huge mintage of the few high priced products. Doesn't seem fair to the wider body of collectors, especially during these times when people are trying to be cautious with spending on big ticket items.

I don't understand why the mint doesn't just have a limited mintage on all coins like every country who mints coins does? I can not think of any world mint that doesn't have at least some limit on their coins. I guess one can make the arguement that our coins have a higher demand than other world coins, and the mint being a for profit business mints the coins to demand and therefore creates higher revenues.

I hope everyone can understand what I wrote above, because I don't, but I am so tired that I am not going to try and make it sound good so you are all stuck with that.

now it looks like buying from dealers is far more cheaper than the u.s. mint gold products.

based on average gold price at $1,050.00 to $1,099.99 and presume that the mint sell all the products today:

    u.s. mint products:
    09w am buffalo proof - $1,301.00
    09w am buffalo unc --- $1,308.00
    09w am eagle proof -- $1,285.00
    09w am eagle unc ---- $1,278.00

    dealer like apmex:
    09 am buffalo unc ---- $1,130.24
    09 am eagle unc ----- $1,102.29
    10 maple leaf unc --- $1,096.95
    09 philharmonic unc -$1,101.95
    09 krugerand unc --- $1,101.95

US Mint still going to have the Proof versions first. Dealers secondary market + mark ups. But makes sense for the bullion unc to go the dealer route when they have them or offer sales promotions.
