    Greetings,

I received this coin in the mail today, it had been purchased as silver bullion for a few bucks. After opening the package all I can say is "WOW". It's the MOST beautiful bullion coin I've ever received without a doubt. The seller must have made an error in the listing because it looks like a proof. The dust particals on Elizabeth's neck were blown off with compressed air after the picture was taken :( They weren't visable when I took it.

This $1 Dollar 2004 Lunar Monkey is incredible.

I believe it's not a proof, they all are like that. I have a few of the lunar series as well. They are wonderful. If you like that one, I suggest you get a Chinese silver Panda. They are equally (maybe even a touch more?) impressive. Also proof-like. You won't be disappointed.

I like the Lunar's a lot. Not sure if the Monkey is my favorite one or not, but it's up there on the list.

    The Panda's are great too.

I like the 2000 dragen a lot more, but that 04 is nice.

I bought the 1 n 2oz pieces for just a little over bullion... and yeah, i agree with Rex, the 2000 dragon looks a lot more impressive. Singapore also mint its own lunar series with the silver version in proof 2oz...

Looking forward for the pig issue next year.

I have all of them to date and have started on the 2oz now and have to agree the Dragon is by far the best:thumb: If you can get your hands on one Bone they are well worth it.

Lunar Monkey sounds like s sci-fi thing but it's a nice coin. I just got 1 each proof and bu dragon the other day and they're pretty awesome too. Some modern day Australia material is very impressive!

I still think that the 'roos and the kooks take something really special to beat them

Love the reverse proof effect of these (frosted fields with mirrored devices). Some may technically not be proofs but they are at least proof-like.

A coin dealer and close personal friend gave me a 2002 kookaburra proof for my birthday last year and I have to say it is one of the prettiest coins I have in my collection. In fact I refer to it as a work of art. The contrast they did between the reflective and frosted finish is outstanding. I wish to have more.

I collect the ASE proofs and these coins make them look somewhat dull and boring "in comparison only".

I am glad to see that more collectors find these coins extremely appealing.

Has any one found a suitable storage/ display for the lunars. A book or something… the flip box I am using just seems so crude.
