1C 1943 Copper - Heritage & Stack's Bowers Results

Hello everyone,
Back in October I did a thread for a 1943 Copper Cent that was up for auction at Heritage Auctions and another at Stack Bowers in the month of November.

Here are the results..

Heritage Auction - Sold $504,000.00


Stack's Bowers Auction - Reserve not met

That is surprisingly cheap for one of those... Most of the time they sell in the millions. I remember a couple years ago, a kid found one of these in his lunch money and he sold it for a million bucks. If only I was so lucky

 

I couldn't even afford the auction fees...

 

I guess deep pocket collectors only go for MS coins. Won't accept "Details" in their collections.
