    hello,
I need help with a silver coin I got several years back. I believe it is a
12 oz coin? On the front it shows what looks like the God of Longevity holding a peach in one hand and a large staff or stick in the other. to the left is a small symnol in a box. The backside has the symbol of longevity with 1987 printed above it. then peaches and dragons circling the coin.

Can anyone help me with this one?

Sounds like a bit of bullion silver, not a coin.

It would be worth the spot price of silver +/- a little bit depending on whether you were buying or selling

I would be actually be more worried if it's actually what it is - there are a lot of Chinese sellers on ebay that make replicas of such massive silver "coins" and they aren't even silver at all. A picture and weighing it would definitely help.

Welcome to cointalk by the way.

to sell a foreign piece of silver coin. go to that country. you may get a better deal. like that of a chinese coin. and china is considered a rich nation now. they might like to buy it at the good premium. even mrs. clinton have to go to china to ask china to continue buying the treasury bond.
