Hi I have a 1977 Canadian dime. It has a small dot underneath the last seven on the date. I've kept this dime for a long while because I really liked it, but I was just wondering if it is worth anything or if the dime would be around the same value as the other 1977 dime out there. Personally I think the coin is unique because I haven't seen another 1977 dime that has a little dot like that. So my questions are 1.Can it be worth a little bit more than a normal 1977 dime? 2.Is the dot on the coin an error, If so what is this error called?
I'm going to say it is not an error. Probably some heat that affected the clad layer and created a bubble underneath. Always show both sides if your coin for more clues.
No clad layer on this coin, pure nickel. Need to see the other side of the coin as well, but I am suspecting damage.
Okay thank you paddyman98. Sorry it was my first time posting thank you the advice you gave me. This is the other side of the coin
