First, (full disclosure) I can't tell the difference between accented and non-accented hair. This Kennedy appears to have the reverse markings of an accented hair. Broken rays and straight G, no serif on G. The obverse looks like a normal I in liberty to me. Is there any significance here? Your thoughts?
You have a transitional variety with an AH reverse. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ac...al-obverse-listed-as-variety-by-anacs.246860/
According to Coneca, there no rare, or special Reverses . http://varietyvista.com/12 Kennedy Halves/Reverse Design Varieties.htm More games from the grading companies to take your money ...
The linked pages are "under construction" meaning that no particular color has been assigned for a rarity scale. A quick check of the Eisenhower Book shows the same lack of a rarity scale and even included designs which simply have not been discovered yet. As for the OP's coin, these are quite common as all folks really need to do is look. However, it is an interesting coin to possibly "peak" collector interest in exploring Die Marriages of Kennedy Half Dollars since Die Marriages are typically reserved for older classic coinage. This particular Kennedy Reverse Design (RDV-001) has multiple Marriages in the Proof Coins AND the Business Strike coins including the 1964-D.
They need to update that list, the obverse die changed for the halves included in the 2014 two coin set and silver four coin set, and all 2015 & 2016 business and proof strikes.
