I looked up FS-801 in my 5th Edition of the CPG and it is not listed. What is your source for this information? ~ Chris
Chris, OP posted this coin already here:
There is a link to PCGS that I provided as well.
Thanks, frog, but it still doesn't answer why I can't find FS-801 in the CPG. Is there a 6th Edition that lists it? ~ Chris
Oh, I have no idea. I don't have any reference books... :/
The 6th edition doesn't even have it. It is on Variety Vista.
If it's listed on Variety Vista, where did they get the cross-reference to the CPG?
Do you have all the early volumes of CPG? I know that some of the FS references are left out as they are not likely to be found.
In the back of the CPG is a cross-reference for the old numbers that are no longer used, and it isn't there, either. ~ Chris
It is in the 6th edition cross reference. I forgot the cross reference was there.
Thanks P&G! I was beginning to think that someone should contact Homeland Security.
However, it still leaves us to wonder whether or not DDR-001 has been de-listed since it is not in the book, either. ~ Chris
@cpm9ball Makes you wonder, Yet, I can't imagine that Fivas and Stanton could fit every die variety in the book. Therewould probably be 3 books alone for Lincoln cents. Not including the microscopic variety's on the shields.
