1918 Lincoln "Die Crack or Some Type of Lamination"

    Great examples! And your side angle is a brilliant photo! What a difference. I should try that. There is definitely less metal on both our coins!

    So I'm out there looking for examples of delamination and found this possible delamination "before strike" The broken jagged edge looks "somewhat" like mine but of course mine is much more worn. Thanks for the feedback. If you guys should see any examples of errors close to mine in your travels, please let know.

    That's a poststrike delamination. The lettering on the delaminated part would be much sharper if it had been struck directly by the die, what there was of it I mean. Of course it wouldn't have struck fully, but you'd at least see sharp outlines, you know?

    Oh, okay. Thanks for that. I'm going to keep looking........there's gotta be one similar to mine out there!

    Me too, I absolutely love error coins! I just can't afford to buy them and I don't find too many in circulation.
