Delamination before Strike??? Walking Half

    DJP7x0s Sometimes Coins Arouse Me

    This is one I haven't seen before. 1939D Walking Liberty Half Dollar. To me it looks like a Delamination before Strike, or a flawed planchet. What are your thoughts and opinions. Have you seen similar before??? And what kind of premium might something like this bring??? Any thoughts, opinions or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You

    Lamination fell away after striking.. If the flake had been missing before strike the edges would not be so sharp and the lettering would be sharper than it is. Much of the irregularities would be smoothed out.
