What is laughable is you thinking that $1950 is a lot. As a matter of fact the VIP room I reserved tonight alone cost $1000 and I'll spend at least another rack or two on drinks. And imagine if this wasn't my uncles club with my discount. God life is grand when you come from money.
Are any of the 40%ers 1970-D? Those are the hardest to find since they were only issued in Mint Sets. Chris
No, just the standard dates. I sorted them all by date (hence the bins) and kept some rolls for myself to keep. I plan on selling off $750 face, probably to APMEX. They said they would give me a good price. They are now all rolled and sitting in a USPS flat rate box. I may sit on them for a while and see where silver goes. I will probably keep roll searching for a while but I know this won't happen again. I would love to know the story behind this bag. I dream about finding a bag of 64's. Most people know that coins used to be silver but don't know about the 40% halves. It's be a little difficult to explain why they are "sort of valuable".
I think the "BS" was a compliment - as in Big Shot!.....In regard to roll searching this week, our half-dollar man definately has something in the Big Shot range to share. Funny, I had to join an internet coin forum to learn just how sensitive coin collectors can be. :hatch:
