Are you sure about that last? When I was looking into this, what I found was that cosmetic suppliers sold "30 volume" peroxide, which works out to less than 10%. I found something like 27% at one pool supply store, which was more than enough for my needs, but I never did find a local source for anything 30% or greater. For those who haven't been following along at home, there are some entertaining chemical demonstrations you can do with concentrated hydrogen peroxide (look up "elephant toothpaste"), and you can make an extremely powerful cleaning agent with it ("pirhana acid"). Unfortunately, you can also make a sensitive and powerful explosive, and so looking for it gets you labeled as a terrorist now.
I believe you are correct about the 30 volume at the supply store once you jarred my memory. It has been a while since I bought it once I found the 50% supply. I was very surprised to learn that large quantities of 70%- 90% were available on the internet and at a very inexpensive price comparatively.
Well all of those cool recipes in the Anarchist's Handbook just aren't going to make themselves! Someone has to be the supplier.
Hydrogen Peroxide has often been used as an oxidizer in rocket engines. Most famously (or infamously) in the V2 rocket. I thought the Soviets used it as well in an especially dangerous rocket fuel which they called the Devil's Venom, but that was something else.
Congradulations to fatima and Cloudsweeper99! The temperature down below just hit a record 31 degrees. I thought I would never see the day when both would happen. :>)
The mommie vampire squid won't like that. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2013-...-market-as-goldman-says-sell-commodities.html
Yeah, well... like, so are you, man. Silver has bounced back by a full dollar this morning, easily clearing the cloud of fur from last night's impact. Bounce, cat, bounce! TO THE MOON!
Funny, I kind of remember this thread now. Caught some grief when I first posted it. I just thought it would be fun to be able to easily remember all of the "predictions" that are made over and over and over. Then, when one accidentally happens, they crow about it for a decade about how they "made that call". I still remember a guy bragging throughout the 80's how it was "documented" that he "made the call" in 1979. Problem was, he "made that call" for years before, and years after. Everyone always forgets when people predict things and are wrong. Thus the point of the thread. Its always beneficial to reread these things, and remember the author and source. Then, if they "predict" something in the future, you have this to remember as well.
No, no, the cat is ALIVE! It was just... sleeping. Yeah, that's it. But now it's awake, and it'll be a steady climb from here on out. It has to be! Because fiat, and QE, but manipulation...
You were only off by a year, but it's done it twice I think since then. I wouldn't buy silver if it hit 60 an ounce. I don't see how it could ever go much higher than the $40's the way it gets sold off and profits taken regularly. Who is going to buy it when it's that high?
If silver were to go to $1000 an ounce, do you know what I would be doing? "Backing up the truck"..... all the way to the super market.
I just read the article, and the dudes logic was absolutely ridiculous. I really hope no one subscribed to his "premium" service he offered. As bugs bunny used to say "What a Maroon"
