im doing a project on italy and it involves italian currency
i know the lira is only used in rural areas but i googled it and it said 10 liras are worth 1 us penny
is that true?

I have a question, on the Gobrecht dollar you have up for sale one site states that j-58 has the c gobrecht f under the base, while the example you show on your classified has the cgf on the base, am I looking at a bad site, http://www.bestcoin.com/1836-Gobrecht-Silver-Dollar.htm, or is this a case of numismatic cointreversy?

Matt, thanks for your advice but I'm not sure I understand all of it. First, and I a novice at this, is I didn't know you could dicker with the auction houses on the take.
Maybe you can give me an example of what you said about asking for 4-6% of the houses juice. Does that mean if the house gets $10k for selling $40K coin, you could try asking for 4-6% of there $10k? I'm not sure where to apply this 4-6% to. But it sounds very interesting.
What is it? A prestige thing or or a coin like this would bring ing more bidders for this and other lots? Please straighten me out so I can explain to my friend the correct information. My friend really exists and yes I'm a LMC casual collector and new at this situation of selling a high priced coin.
