    Hey all,

With this Coin Outta The Vault we are going to go to a coin that was found by my mom when she was a little girl, in her change. She gave the coin to my grandpa to catalogue it, give it a value and etc...
My grandpa included this coin in the short set he gave my dad in 1991 which I received in 2008. My mom was surprised as she thought this nickel was long gone, to see it in this collection as she had never laid her eyes on the whole collection before. She thought her nickel was long gone, she also thought her nickel would've been worth more. :D

Here is the nickel, I have posted this once before but I decided to do better pictures of the coin as my skills have much improved since then!

    Enjoy y'all!

And honestly, due to the horn, I'm giving it a F15. This coin has also been dipped, and I'm really leaning towards the fact that my grandpa was a professional coin cleaner...

P.S. Here is a list of all the Coin Outta The Vault's, in case you missed one!

The scratch across the head would drop the grade a bit also. I've always enjoyed the Buffalo Nickels. They were a find in change years ago, but just never enough money to keep them at the time. My allowance then was .35 cents a week. With that I could go to show on Saturday night and see a double feature. If I wanted popcorn and a soda that was an extra .15 cents. All the nice silver spent then.........

Nice story. I recall when you mentioned this one before. Great addition to the Vault series.

    are you ignoring the cleaning?

The scratch look like normal circulation wear.

Well guys I'll just call it a Fine for now. I'm not going to get nitty-gritty on grading a cleaned/scratched coin that I have no intentions of selling or getting graded. ;)

Thanks Krispy, actually when I was looking for the original thread I thought it already was a Coin Outta The Vault, so I was just gonna bump it, but, it was a different thread, so part 20 it is!
    I have lots more!!
