Very nice coins @dadams and all. Steve did have a great eye for coins. I picked up two medievals from his collection.
Ah rats! I was hoping to buy that one and then it disappeared. Glad it's still around. A great coin. I have a few of Steve's coins in my collection. Most of his were ex-CNG too.
I wish I had some of Steve's old coins! The guy had an eye and great sense of humor...sadly I joined after he left. But I do thoroughly enjoy his old posts. Anywho, here is a fun one (though not as fun as yours. LOVE your lion\s!!) from Bruttium that I have laying around. BRUTTIUM,Rhegion Circa 415/0-387 BCE. Æ 11mm (1.76 gm). Excellent @dadams ! I remember that coin! I remembered all the coin in the post above as well. Man, I wish I could have picked up a stevex coin, but it just wasn't in the cards.
. . . history . . . provenance => I'm lovin' this coin => My COIN!! Going back through some of the old threads where @stevex6 posted this lovely coin really makes me miss that guy. I know a couple of you are still in touch with Steve and I hope you'll convey my well wishes and appreciation of the collection he put together. There is still quite a good selection of The x6 Collection available. It had been in my watchlist for a while and I was getting worried someone might snatch it from me so I had to pounce => " ROOOAAARRRRR!!! " Thanks to all of you for posting some awesome coins - I can't get enough.
Great coins. Here are my x6s: Gordian III with Virtvs and his Usurper's Wife, Otacilia Severa with (seated) Concordia:

Nice acquisition, @dadams. I've always admired that handsome Rhegion litra. As I said to Steve just a few days ago, even though these coins are physically here with me, I still very much consider them his .
For grins, I used to "hoard" his avatars . He used to change them almost as often as his underwear (perhaps more often!) and some were funny or were silent commentary on some forum post or exchange. Although I didn't capture them all, I did manage to get a bunch of them. It's a massive file... hope it doesn't crash the board.
What a super addition!! Is it that Steve has awesome taste in coins, or is it that Steve's awesomeness rubs off on them? A bit of both, I think. Here are my two ex x6: Zombie Jesus (Nicephorus II fourrée solidus) Azes (58-20 BCE) Æ unit And here's a little Rhegion bronze, similar to @Ryro's and @Alegandron's:
LOL, I seriously thought about doing that, then decided that he changed them MUCH more than his underwear! I chuckle because he was the one who dubbed me:
