I was interested in getting an Ellis Island but I missed my chance. I see plenty of them for sale from JM Bullion, etc., but since they're ~$100, they are the "bullion" versions. I tried looking on eBay, but the descriptions rarely (if EVER) say 'burnished' in the auction title. Am I missing something here? I understand that the "burnished" versions will cost more. I've been told that they are valued more by collectors. I also understand that the only difference is the "burnished" finish; everything else (COA, etc.), is the exact same...?
I don't think the bullion version comes with the box/coa. At least not the ones I've purchased in the past. I could be wrong though.
Easy. Burnished one has "P" mintmark, regular bullion issue does not. Plus the box and coa for the burnished only. Bullion comes in plastic tubes, no box or coa.
