a little upside down on my 2017, just because at the time the market was higher but I,am way more so positive on everything else I own but mine the kids and grand kids will cash in when I am long and gone...LOL
I personally am partial to Gold Eagles and Eagles in general. They were my first coins. I love Buffalos and how pure they are but they're a bit delicate compared to Eagles.
Different variables at work: Is the coin being held to be sold, for liquidity purposes ? Then you want the ones most in demand from potential buyers: investors, collectors, LCS, dealers. Is the coing going to be held by you for years or decades ? Then liquidity less of a concern. Any aesthetic or numismatic interest in the coin ? Then you're talking about paying a premium for certification/holder, a certain grade, CAC, OGH, etc.
