Ok, I'm in, but please give to @BuffaloHunter if I win! Man, you almost made me cry! LOL!

Great story, and I hope you win!

This is a wonderful looking coin, and I am in for it!!!!! My tidbit is that in Russian, this was known as either as a polushka or poludenga. Even though it is a 1/4 kopek, it was started as a way to have half a denga and polushka is the Russian word for Half, and Poludenga is their word for half a denga (polu = semi, and semi is the same as half), and a denga was a half kopek. Interestingly, now, denga is simply a word that we would translate as money. Not minted since the end of the Russian revolution in 1917, denga remained as a term not for the denomination of money but for money itself. So still, go to Russia and you need denga.

And I have been to St Petersburg.. spent several days there once. Had a lot of fun seeing the sights and learning to take the metro.

Thanks, Eric, I sure do appreciate that.

Geez, I didn’t realize I would hijack the second giveaway. Sorry, everyone, as that was certainly not my intention.

People liked your anecdote, is all. That's cool, right?

Here, I'll let this reply be an extra entry for @Kasia , so @BuffaloHunter doesn't have to feel bad about his bonus entries. ;)

I'm in and like to give mine to @BuffaloHunter, what a great story. Here is one that I didn't do very good on. Let's just say it taught me a very good lesson. 20230117_221338.png 20230117_221358.png

Jimminy Cricket, I've got to make this drawing somewhat balanced. I'm entering for me. For the sole reason of equitable distribution of entries.

And I'll follow along with @Sting 60 and post my 1909-S IHC
