Well that settles it for me. Responding to the thread that is, as I've always had a difficult time explaining the "obvious".
The reverse can not be used to determine an accented hair, the I in liberty is the sure fire way, you have a non accented hair.......the D is just a extra way of making sure...
Not really. I love Carlos, but he had a thread with a scratched up Mercury Dime that was "clashed" with a Walking Liberty Half...or something like that. Thinking out side of the box...it's what's for dinner! Search the history, you'll get it. Never mind, I found it. Read this thread & you'll get it: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/1925-mercury-dime-die-clash.239808/
That Kennedy looks like it was clashed with a Peace Dollar that was clashed with a Walker that was clashed with a Merc.....Did I miss anything?
- Info on this PROOF coin could be searched. such as the following site - http://www.ipotad.com/pages/ah2.html
Just last night I found another one 1964. with the same Oberse. But different Reverse. In this 2nd the Rays are very solid. "No broke"
IF THIS; IS NOT "THE ACENTED HAIR". At least I have John F Kennedy "with Horns" in two different coins, with two different Die Reverse. Thank for all your opinions. Also It's good to know that. WHEN YOU DON'T TAKE THE LIFE IN SERIUS YOU CAN LIVE LONGER.
Unless you don't look both ways before crossing the street... Or you let a homeless guy pack your parachute for you...And so on.. But to jump right back on topic... This is not the accented hair. This is a couple of minor die lines and worth little or no premium.
Carlos....I think you need to understand...please take the time to read this thread. I think it will help you understand things a bit better.. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/ac...al-obverse-listed-as-variety-by-anacs.246860/ Cheers
Thank a lot for that information. YOU ARE RIGHT. My coins show the same Oberse; But in one of them is THE TRANSITIONAL DIE REVERSE. I have clear that: They are Not The Acented Hair. But that extra hair inside of the South Hole of the "B" look pretty. like little horns on the head.
Your coin doesn't look like a proof coin. So nothing mentioned in Ethan's thread applies to your MS coin.
WRONG MY FRIEND. The Transitional Die (reverse) , mentioned by Ethan's thread is exactly the same Reverse is in my thread. If you didn't check up yet. There is. This kind of Reverse is know as BROKEN RAYS.
Let me get this straight, amigo. You're posting pics of MS coins in a thread called "1964 half Kennedy AH" and now you're trying to teach me? James Wiles’ Kennedy Half Dollar Book mentions the broken ray variety : "It is suspected that several million coins were struck before the second reverse design.”
