    Years ago I started a set of shield nickels, but..

    life intervened, and I had to sell them.

    I should start another set, it has been years since I had any.

    There's isn't a lot of information on shields as other series. The one who does have a web site charges for useage. That said one needs to rely on old text. Out of date...information.
    Theres several rpd 's for the date. This one FS 1872 -04
    Shield nickels have more undiscovered varieties than known ones! For the picker its a mother load of finds. I believe that I have 2 discovery specimens.
