A company that sells gold puts out a press release that says gold will double.

    Who would believe that?

Really? Based on what Elaine? How do you know? How do you know this time will really be it when you've been so spot on all along? Please provide a reasoned prediction... Otherwise, I don't think we'll be waking up from the coma you put us in last September when you were so sure of $1,350. Of course there's a an eventuality to a price point, but just because it eventually hits $1,350 is hardly an 'I told you so' claim. :eating:

    My earlier post from 2/23/2010.

...there's be a lot of buzz again lately about prices doubling or more but I estimate we'll see a spike sometime in 2010 as high as $1,385, max $1,425.

I went ahead and bought the Margaret Taylor Unc/Proof on the lastest dip in gold prices. I still think PM prices will drop prior to the elections, but I got cold feet and bought anyway. :p

I hope I get some nice coins, but I'm worried I might get other people's rejects. If I don't buy on the first day, I try to buy NGC MS70/PF70 coins on ebay (or elsewhere) for near the same price. Problem is...FS coins seem to be going up in price (the more recent ones, anyway).

I think in your case that it is imperative that you buy FS coins when you can as they are not just bullion coins despite what some folks may consider them due to their personal disinterest.

I truly hope your prediction on pricing is correct as I'm sort of holding on to a conservative guesstimate this year thinking along the lines of the effects the elections may have despite the recent price moves, GS news, Greece (and now Japan?) default news and general ruminations on prices doubling by the doomers.
