As of this coming Saturday, I will have a daughter-in-law. Her name is Victoria. I'd like to celebrate by posting a coin depicting her namesake. Post your Victorias! Tacitus, AD 275-276. Roman billon antoninianus, 3.57 gm, 21.1 mm. Ticinum, AD 276. Obv: IMP C M CL TACITVS AVG, Caput Taciti radiata, ad pectus cum lorica. Rev: VICTORIA GOTTHI, Victoria stolata vultu dextrorsum converso stans, coronam lauream tenet dextra, palmae vero ramum gestat sinistra; in ima parte P. Refs: RIC 172; Cohen 158; Sear 11821; Hunter 59; CBN 1676.
There are rather fewer Victoria coins in the name of empresses so I will show this rare one (I know of four) from Julia Domna. Congratulations.
Congrats, RC! The legend on this one reads LIBERTAS (which may be questionable choice for the occasion? ), but it has a nice Victory-Victoria shaking her pom-poms to celebrate the occasion. CONSTANTINE THE 1 AE3. 3.15g, 19mm. Constantinople mint, AD 327-328. RIC VII 25 (R2). O: CONSTANTI-NVS MAX AVG, rosette-diademed head right. R: LIBERT-A-S PVBLICA, Victory standing with head left on a galley, holding up a wreath in each hand; CONS in exergue, B in left field.

@Roman Collector- congratulations for adding a Victoria to your family! They are nice to have. 1) The most precious of my Victorias. 2008 2018 2) An ancient Victoria/Victory, the only Eliasberg coin I have owned, and the onetime centerpiece of my Holey Gold Hat. Zeno (emperor of the East, A.D. 476-491). AV Solidus. Thessalonica, A.D. 476 or later. Pedigreed to the famous Louis E. Eliasberg Collection. 3) Two more ancient Victorias (Victories) on a Lucius Verus sestertius and Trajan Decius antoninianus from my old 2007-08 Roman collection. 4) A "modern" Victoria, presently the only one in my collection, but part of what was once a much larger 1901 British Empire type set I assembled for Victoria #1, above. Later sold that collection (minus the coin below), and bought this one coin for her, which I later sold to buy something else seen in that link.
