OK, I just remembered ... we've run out of July, now (good riddance!) and are into August.

This means it'll be time for a drawing. No time for me to do that just this sec, but I'll do it in the early AM hours (Eastern US time) of Thursday, August 3rd.

So until then, anybody who hasn't posted their three entries that wants to may do that.

I'm sorry the prizes were rather paltry this time. I might sweeten 'em up just a tiny bit, if only by the addition of a silver dime to each winner's envelope, or something like that.

Just saw this. Super late, last second entry.
Edit. Nevermind. Posted it in Ancients. Good luck everyone!

(I actually think the dime might be one of those I got from you in our swap a while back! LOL)

    *whew*!

Took a whole bunch of redraws to land on posts that were actual contest entries, and not my own replies.

So, Winners - post your selections here in the thread, then PM me your shipping addresses.

We'll start with @chrsmat71's five selections and then move on down to let everyone pick their prizes.

Again, everyone (except Winner #5, who gets the leftovers) will choose five pieces from the group in the original post, each in order by their winning number, and each will also receive a silver dime.

This will no doubt take a while, but so what. It's not like we weren't already goofing off here already, right?

    Thanks for entering, y'all. :)

Sweet! Always nice to hop on CT at dawn and find out you've won something. :)
And yes it is indeed, for that German 2 reichsmark, pictured below alongside a 1 mark also won in a LordM contest.

Combined with what I've also randomly found in circulation over the years, it's the humble beginnings of a German Coin collection..

You do a great job of inspiring fellow collectors to expand their horizons and consider exploring other areas of this vast hobby.
I've also been researching German coins due to these acquisitions and have realized how difficult it can be to specialize in that coinage if starting from scratch due to the discombubulation (for lack of a better term) of German coins over the years (presumably from a complicated political history).

I can't stress enough how much your generosity is respected on the forum, and I look forward to picking from your complimentary offerings when my turn arrives.
Thanks again for a fun and rewarding contest M'lord.
