Thank you! You found more than I did. I had deduced it was an insurance token but was foggy on the backstory. I just knew it was lovely and I had to have it.

 

If you’ll recall from my FUN show report, I held one of those puppies in my hot little hand for a moment!

Closest thing I’ve had is this holed octagonal Liberty Head fractional, on my old Holey Gold Hat.

 

I know this is the octagons thread, but why not a ten-sided decagon?

I lived in Tanzania as a child, in 1972, the year this coin was struck. One of these coins was my weekly allowance for being a good lad. I bought a model airplane kit with one once.
