I don't know, some of these numbers are a little misleading. I know you're using the lowest sales after fees, but there's no way problem free examples can be bought for these prices. Take for example the 2011-s unc or 2013-w enhanced, both in spot free graded 70, which is all I buy. The 2011-s sells in the $300 range, not $100 and the 2013 sells in the $100 range, not $50.

I've been buying a few EU70 2013-w's and contacting sellers to determine condition. I'm finding even in the $100 range, 90% of them have spots.

So, it looks like sellers on eBay are mostly willing to sell only problem coins in this depressed market.

Now that many of these coins have been out for awhile, maybe a better way to look at the values is, what would you have to pay for problem free examples.

As with all coins, the value will be dependent on the condition. The market value that I provide is based on the average price paid for a non-rated coin on ebay. If you have a perfect 70 rated by NGC, it will obviously bring more money. I'm not the red book but just a simple engineer basing value on the market. By the way, I'm not sure how the red book calculates value but it doesn't seem to be in "my real world".

missing is the 2011 NMM (S). IT WAS MINTED IN SAN FRANCISCO BUT HAD NO S MINTMARK. THE MINTMARK IS ON THE GRADED VERSION BY PCSG, ETC. THIS IS NOT THE S INCLUDED IN THE FIVE COIN SET. IT WAS A SEPARATE ISSUE, ISSUED BEFORE ANY OTHER.

Ah, ha! The mysterious 's-less' "S" coin. Minted in San Fran but by no means can be distinguished from the 'generics' minted at West Point. The only way you could get that designation was by sending a monster box of these coins (from San Fran) to one of the grading services. What a load of malarkey. It's like taking high mintage moderns, submitting them to one of the grading services, receiving a '70 grade and then touting the axiom that they are rare........Yody Ho.

As 2016 nears an end, I thought it might be a good time to update the mintage versus market value of the collector ASE's.

I would love to have a 1995W proof. It was the "give away" in "US Mint speak" for the 1995 four-coin gold Eagle set with an issue price of $999. The only other special ASE not in my collection is the 2008-dated with reverse of 2007.

Quite an impressive set of beautiful silver coins over the past 30 years in their plush purple, black and blue boxes!

I've just realized that they are selling the proof ASE in the 2016 Limited Edition Silver Set. As a note, they didn't make them in 2015. Here is the updated list with this mintage revision:

I have many tabs on my coin collection spreadsheet. The red suggests a link to a price on another tab. As it is a calculation field, it reminds me not to overwrite it.

Thanks for this one. I guessed I missed it. I've updated the spreadsheet to reflect the additional sales of the 2016 ASE proof. Jeez; the US mint is making it more difficult each year to track sales of these guys!

To mark the start of 2019, I've updated the market value versus mintage of the numerous ASE collector coins. In general, they have lost value since the last update. In some cases, they lost a lot of value. I'm unsure of the exact cause, but I'm guessing that the collectors are getting tired of the shenanigans at the mint. They keep putting more and more ASE offerings into various packages and confusing the collecting public. Here's the update list:

Here is an update to the collector ASE coins. As the mint keeps creating more and more of these babies, it is getting harder to maintain this dataset. Generally, prices did increase in the past year probably because of the 15% increase in silver value. Here is the latest:

    Good day!
I was recently going through my Eagles, and noticed I had a 2008 with the 2007 reverse. But it is not a W coin? Any one else know anything about it? I can find no others anywhere. No Bullion coins are listed as 2008 with 2007 reverse. Thanks for the help!!
