i Understand 2.5gm is the Correct Weight for the Zinc Cents. My Question is though, What’s the under on 2.5gm that will question the size or whereabouts of the planchet. Thanks in advance CT Folks

Just read and it says that a Cent should not vary more or less then 0.13gm and I found an 83P that’s popping up as 2.3gm is that normal for us Roll Hunters? And thanks for the link!

You have to factor in circulation wear when you are talking about CRH stuff. I would think that 2.3 is fine.

  6. Hey Furry: I have seen them up to 2.8. They are so bad and worthless. I bet they are really difficult to mint due to the 4-5 mil coating.

Tolerance on a zinc cent is +/- .1 g. So 2.3 g would be slightly below tolerance but not significantly far enough out to be worth a premium. If you find a 2.0 g then you'd have something.
