Before in USSR, 1961 earliest coin. Now 1997 earliest seen.

 

Geez Magman - do you think I'd jump on that one?

 

Got this in change at different times. They were still crisp so i barely even noticed the series

The oldest coin at the time I found it was a 1913 cent back in 2003.

 

I'm old enough and was fortunate enough to have been in two places that still used silver dollars for everyday transactions.
1960 in Montana.
1963 in Alaska.
I don't know what the oldest one was that I pulled out of circulation, but considering that 1878 dated Morgans are rather common I wouldn't be surprised if that was my oldest.
No Seated Liberty's. That I know for sure.
