i would have to check to see if that is the actuall total amount printed.. but assuming you already did that ... money is printed in runs of 200,000 sheets, each sheet prints 32 notes, so each run prints 640,000 notes... that being said, the BEPes not always start with run #1 being notes printed from 00000001 to 00640000. they might start with a higher numbered run, and i have seen the evidence that they skip around from run to run ... there just doent seem to be an ryhme or reason to it that i can yes (yet )
I'm guessing you meant 1929, as the '22 was a Gold Cert. (large size) and would have been worth considerably more than $200.
i remember it being a 1922 .. that being said, when i saw your post i looked in my friedberg book, and there was no 1922. So it was porobly a 1929 like you said. it was just so dang long ago lol. I dont think it was a national bank noe, so it would have had to of been a legal tender note .. the only thing with that is that i dont remember it having red seals - which i thought all LTN had ... so at this point, it could have been anything :desk:
I received a 1928 2 dollar note red seal from a man who was paying for gas in 1987 when I lived in Reedsport Or John
My oldest would be a 1953 $5 note. Not too bad. Xeno, I think I am going to want to order some pizzas lol. Nice finds. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Phoenix
Well it certainly beats my $20 1996 star note found after 8 years of searching. May is coming I am due for a good circulation find in the month of May.
I got a 1928A $100 Gold Certificate from a Bank Teller when I was about 12 years old. I hung around the bank almost everyday going through pennies and whatnot and the tellers would set stuff aside for me. They also set aside a 198? $20 Bill with insufficient Ink for me too.
Oldest note that I've persoanlly found?? A 1969 series $10 in AU condition I have older notes, but thats the oldest i found in circ.
