Beautiful! This wasn't by chance a recent ebay buy, was it?

No, I'm not brave enough to purchase paper on Ebay yet. I picked this up at CurrencyQuest. I usually buy from Vern Potter but took a chance with them this time.

I saw one recently and I passed on it. I'm happy to hear this wasn't it!

Picked up a bunch of notes today both from a show and a store. Here is one I have been looking for (at a price I could afford) and another that I hadn't seen before.

I really like that admission ticket. A great representative piece of history in hand.

Great notes. I just love the Expo tickets too. Here's a thread you might like for tickets: Post some tickets!

Very nice camlov2! I've been wanting to pick up a large size Gold Certificate... that orange back is calling out to me!

Thanks for posting that cross reference to the tickets thread, Krispy. I'd forgotten about it and was inspired to add another image. I think wherever possible if we can add links to other threads it will help draw news eyes to areas they might have missed.

camlov2 - I like that World's Columbian Expo ticket. Are those hard to come by?

I see them somewhat frequently from eBay to Heritage Auctions, raw to graded in various conditions/prices. However, certain ones, as there are six designs, are less frequently seen, more widely collected or fetch more than other designs. Check this site

There are also some with the "A" and some without. Plus there are children and pecial tickets like Chicago Day ones too.

This was the first one I had seen but it was also my first show. The dealer also had the Columbus ticket in about the same condition.
Duke-what was the A for and is it harder to find?

I'm not sure why they are there. I'm just guessing that they are for a different print run. I can't recall either which is harder to get but both didn't seem that hard and not all of them have both an "A" and a non "A". Just a couple of them. The Handel is the hardest to get as the population was the least. Mine is graded 64 or 65 I can't recall but it's a nice one :D

    my latest deuces

I have not been around for a while but I am glad to be back and just have to show off my new deuces. The 63 was more or less a throw in on the deal I figure as I picked up the lot of 4 for under $50.

I don't know why, I've always thought the $2.00 was/is one of the best looking small notes around...I like yours! Especially the red seal.
