those are nice bills I just got from the bank for 10 bucks a basically gem new (minus one little bend in the corner) 10 1963A star note. D01735755* My buddy has my camera so when I get it back I'll post a pic up. But it is literally perfect minus the one little bend. Ticks me off too cause I know it was from the tellers counting it and they don't care that I collect. poopies.

Just bought a 25 cent Dominion of Canada shinplaster for 11 bucks not long ago.

 

This one isn't graded, but I paid $69.95 for it in Mar 2009.

 

The biggest difference between your note and mine is your note is from a print run of over 3 MILLION, and my note is from a print run of only 64 THOUSAND.......BOTH are great looking $50 Star notes, but the 2004A New York Star is much,much harder to find in uncirculated condition.

 

yah the runs of over 1 mill I don't even take any more even if they are in good condition.

I think it is relatively common... I was specifically on the lookout for a national note from Worcester Mass., and charter #7595 there was the most common from that city as far as what was coming available on ebay/Heritage/etc. (There are 4-5 charters from Worcester I believe; though I don't have my list with me at the moment.) I also don't have another large-size $5 national, so the combination of the city I wanted plus a different style from my others was too hard to pass up.

Now I'll have to take a look at my budget for the Baltimore expo this weekend. Hoping to pick up something really nice there... I'm thinking along the lines of a $2 battleship. We'll see what I find, and how much money I can bring with me.

I won these TWO consecutive 2006 $1 Atlanta short run Stars on eBay last week. I was the only bidder, and won for 99 cents PLUS $5.00 shipping. The seller miss-mailed MY order and another buyers order, so I ended up with the wrong notes. We, ( the other buyer & myself ) agreed to send each other the correct notes, and the seller credited the ENTIRE amount to my PayPal account.......so I ended up with both of the notes for a 44 cent stamp. WOO HOO !!!

Just got a BEP strap of 2006 $1 bills with serial numbers D89411401B through D89411500B so the radar note 89411498 is in it! I thought that was pretty cool! My buddy still has my cam till I pic it up tonight and I'll get these up
