I like the 20c piece. It combines the pleasing seated liberty design with the eagle from the trade dollar [reduced and cleaned up a bit to make it fit.] It's a more realistic, and to me, a more attractive version of the eagle than the "heraldic" type eagle on other seated lib coins. And it also means that since the "In God We Trust" was on the face of the trade dollar, and on the reverse of the other seated libs, this sort of "mule" combination means there is no motto on the 20c piece.
By default, capped bust halves (of which I’ve got c. 150); #1 would be the draped bust type, but it gets kinda pricey for the VF+ condition I favor. Got only a few of those, among about a dozen total. I wish I knew how to post photos — got some I’m really proud of!
I was going to post my one and only Bust Half, but I can't find the photo right now. Anyway, in the reply box where it says "Write your reply...", write something, then hit enter for a new line, then click the "Upload a File" button next to the "Post Reply" button below the Reply box. A pop-up box will appear, so click "Choose File" and navigate to the jpeg on your computer. After you select it and give it a few seconds to upload, there will be a button below the Reply Box for "Thumbnail / Full Size". I like the full size option. Hope this helps, I always like to see more Halves.
Deleted extra post. I have no idea why it posted twice, and I don't see a delete button anywhere. I'm pretty new here too.
10-4 that! Here's my latest little fraulein, though I think I might like that '44-O a little better...
My current favorite US type, a picture upgrade. The peripherals of both sides have a strong violet toning that I couldn't capture:
Mine was bust halves for the longest time, but lately seated quarters have been my favorite. Here’s one of each from my type set:
Thanks, $50 at a three-generation (living) run shop I stop at any time I’m up north. Original CircCam in XF... There was a Ulysses on the table in about 10 seconds.
