    I believe that is the gold plated version, the solid gold coins had the purity stamped near the edge of the gold portion of the planchet.

    i wonder if there will be 22nd century coins or if we'll go to some type of virtual currency like bitcoin or something similar.

    Hi Stevex6,

    I'd like you to know the Antoninus Pius Æ drachm (Alexandria) is now in my collection. I bought the coin three years after your post from a Canadian seller but I stumbled onto CoinTalk (and this thread) 5 years after the initial discussion as I was researching all I could about this type. It goes to show that CT is a lasting resource and may even provide some provenance information. I would have not otherwise known it was Ex-James Theselius Collection. Wow, neat. [Next task is to research James Theselius a bit more.]
