    I have all the certifying paperwork from the Norweb Sale. It is an Original Copper. You are correct in that the piece is more often referred to a " Token " rather than a Coin. This piece originally sold at the auction for $863.00. I have recently re-sold this, and now has a new owner. Thanks for all the comments.

    This is the oldest Silver Penny I have in my collection - Aethelred II 978 to 1016 AD, struck in Winchester.
