Please re-read my post...I am sorry to say that we did not get 8 players and therefore there will only be 2 prizes awarded. I am waiting for 2 Judges and then I will post my review to announce the 2 out of 3 winners.

I only wish we had 8....there was a nice proof set to be had.

I would suggest copying the PM you sent to Doug and send it to all the other Judges..as long as the time satmp is on it before 6:00 PM Monday evening..they should accept it. I will leave it to them...

The Judges have made their rulings....

I awarded each player 1-2 point s based on their submissions...thats why we have a 2nd place Tie Breaker.

Drum roll Please.....

Here is what you were graded/Judged on:

1. Following Rules: = 2 pts

2. Spelling and Grammer = 2 pts

3. Interest and Knowledge = 2 pts

4. Content = 1 pt

5. Historical Citations = 1 pt

6. Presentation = 1 pt

7. Sincerity = 1 pt

Total 10 pts

1st Place
rpwoh with 25 total points from the Judges

2nd Place with a "tie" goes to TMoney and HKWW of 20 pts each

I did not put in the "Tie" clause into this contest so I will award a prize to each of the 2 nd place winners.

The 2nd place prize is currently a $5 Gem Quality Note Sereis 2006 and I only have 1 of them.

The other prize will be a Proof Set from the 1960's.

So talk it over you two and let me know who wants what!

The Winning Submission.

My name is Richard W and I am 16 years old. I have been collecting coins and banknotes for about 4 or 5 years now, and I must say I really enjoy this great hobby.

When my Dad was a teenager in the 70's he worked at his Uncles liquor store, and he would always get silver coins from the customers that came in, and he would get some old banknotes from customers also.

About a 4 or 5 years ago, my Dad gave me those silver coins and old banknotes, and that's what got me hooked on collecting coins and banknotes. My Dad and my Grandmother and the two big reasons why I started collecting.

Shortly before my Grandmother passed about 2 years ago, she found out that I collected coins and currency. So she gave me a big binder full of silver certificates, and red seal $2 dollar bills and some other old banknotes that she had saved over the years.

I think I would be a good choice for the prize because, I really enjoy collecting and I meet a lot of nice and great people while doing this fun hobby.

Although my collection may not be so big, it is a work in progress and each coin and banknote help make up my collection. Hopefully one day my collection can be as big as some of you veteran collectors out there.
