This one 1898-O has toned since I had it Ngc re-holded about two years ago.

 

That's a beauty Jello! I like how it toned.

 

The 1898-O was semi white with very little toning before I had it upgraded to a new holder
I'm not sure if temperature or new holder has done the toning. I just wish I had its photo before Ngc holder was changed.

 

Yeah, that would be an interesting comparison. I'm guessing heat had something to do with it.

 

It's surprising how a coin photo looks on a auction site and then when you receive the coin and how it really looks. Sometime back, I bid on this coin, but wasn't really that thrilled about how it looked. I forgot all about bidding on the coin, until I received an email saying I was high bidder and I bid what I thought was low. I received the coin today, the first photo is the auction house photo, the second is how the coin looks and it's pretty close to the colors on the second. Glad I won the bid now.

I'm told they look like Ngc holder.
