After a few years of keeping Greek coinage sidelined out of lack of interest, the Greek bug bit me when I acquired a couple of inexpensive examples for my collection. They looked nice and they didn't break the bank so I figured I might as well go for them. I think my foray into Greek coinage and history may have made it easier for me to become interested in Ptolemaic coinage. My octobol helped give me some interest in them, but the trigger was definitely playing Assassin's Creed Origins late last year, which by (virtually) sending me to Ptolemaic Egypt itself, introduced me to its history, culture, and not to mention to how beautiful it must have looked.

RS - You have one of my favorite coins / overstrikes on this site. I am glad it went to a good home. I bought this one after seeing Steve's coin.
