The reverse is area in question. Not the dings on the obverse. Between the legs and wings Raised areas on both sides and extra rays
I'm not sure about the reverse but I see the marks on the obverse fairly often. They're likely just bag marks wherein another coin with a sharp (fresh) reeded edge hit it.
I had to pull out a Kennedy to compare. I see what you're talking about. I'm just not sure. Sorry. Others will chime in.
This (weak mintmark) is of no significance whatsoever. As for the reverse anomaly, I could only speculate. Perhaps @atrox001 could be of more help.
Yes, you already said that. I guess it's good that something caused you to look closer at the coin, but it is of no real significance and a fairly common occurrence.
I'd rule out a clash because that area on the obverse would be in Kennedy's hair above the ear. Chris
