I just won this Carthage coin in an auction and was concerned about some of the porosity holes I can see in the coin and was wondering what you think of this coin and what you can tell me about it. I have bought 5 coins form this same seller and all of the other coins were really nice and authentic ,so I do believe the seller is a person selling in good faith. I know @Alegandron likes Carthage coins so maybe He might know something about this ? Thank you all for looking !
I don't like it. Maybe it's real, but the "patina" is not. You should be trying to buy coins from the most reputable dealers you can find.
Hard to tell from photos. I don't like the pits and what look like casting pearls. It may look different in hand.
