When you are taking a photo of an individual coin in the Mint case, the camera is a little closer to the subject so the angle of the light is reflected away from the camera lens. But when you have to move the camera further away from the subject to take a photo of the entire case using the same placement of the light source, some of the light can reflect into the lens.
