The show was busy as I have ever seen a show. There was a calm for about an hour around lunch time. I did see a few kids running around which aggravates some and brings smiles to others. This show is generally always a good show as far as turnout. It was run for years by Rich Parsons and has recently been taken over by Dave Navarra.

There was the usual items floating around, slabbed Morgans, Slabbed this and thats. A few guys had small stashes of BHD's which I check for. I did see a decent 1794 Half for $1250.

The prize at the show though was an old guy that came up to the table where I was at and asked to see a MS63RB 1867/7 IHC. He said yep, there she is. He reached in his brief case and pulled out a complete minus the above coin set of IHC's including the 1856FE. Now this set was not just a set as I looked at it. Every coin matched. They were all the same in eye appeal, grade and color. What a magnificent set to get to hold and see. I asked the gentleman how long he had taken to put it together, the answer floored me, 31 years! Not for the lack of money he said but for the lack of the coins fitting in his set. WOW.... He is now starting a Liberty Nickel set and hopes he lives long enough to complete it.

That my friends was the highlight of the show for me. I asked him if it was for sale, his reply was I wouldn't sell this set for every coin in this building. Thats collecting at its finest isn't it.

Me, well I purchased a few Dark Side Dollars for the ole Canadian Dollar Set. I could find a BHD that I didnt have and the Large Cents were sparse. ALTHOUGH, I did see a MS64ish 1831 N11 Large Cent that has my thinking. What a way to start a New Year.
