People are fallible but the ideals of this great country are worth striving for. Our fore fathers did not want their likeness on US coins, because in the rest of the world only monarchs or dictators were depicted on coins. They wanted this country to stand for something better than absolutism.</p><p>I believe that commerative coins are the place for your presidents.</p><p>If I wanted an actor on a US coin I would at least choose a good one.
