Every day someone is on here with a 1943 copper. 0% so far.
It's possible. But I doubt it.

If PCGS displays that coin with a "1943-D bronze", I will close my account :). I suspect it is a well corroded by acid ( environmental or chemical lab type) that went through the zinc and corroded the steel. I am surprised that no one asked if it was attracted to a magnet, is it? I hope you are successful in your luck, but I would really like to know who at PCGS made the comments? Or do you mean a "PCGS" dealer said something. Thanks Jim

In my honest opinion, I'd say that's copper plated.

    Can't tell. It could be a 1942.
Need better photos of this P-01 coin.
How much does a P-01 copper 1943 go for?

Google think it's worth a million I'd assume that's in mint state because they didn't specify

Coin tracker says that the bottom dollar would be
    $60047 to $85782.00

Given the condition, a genuine 1943 in P-01 would be much lower IMO.

Ok I'll bite - whatever happened with this one? It really wasn't sent in to PCGS?

Based on past performance @Lon Chaney we are 7 years from his brood emerging again and answering.

Yeah I know... but here's hoping. Even with economy service, the turnaround time is still less than 7 years. Maybe barely :). @MisterEcoin what's the scoop?
