I snagged the Otacilia AR, to go with my Phillips. I've been casually scoping them out, there seems to be a lot of seated Concordia reverses out there, but this X6 example is big and looks to be heavier than most at over 5 grams. This is just what I've noticed, please correct me if I'm wrong.
Jesus H. Christ! What in Hades has happened? I have been so out of the loop trying to get my mojo back and then I see chemo pillow. Holy Crap! My best wishes to you Steve. I had no idea any of this was happening.
A happy update: Steve finished chemotherapy last week-- six rounds of chemo and five rounds of radiation. His doctors seem optimistic and he'll have some follow up tests next month. He's remained in remarkably good spirits throughout
This is great news! I dont know Steve well, although I've read many back posts and am familiar with some of his collection. We've been watching our neighbors go through a cancer crisis, and it's really heartbreaking. I'm so glad Steve's doctors are optimistic!
Really good news. I also treated myself to another of Steve's wonderful coins this week. I hope in time, when he's fully recovered, that he can begin to collect anew.
I couldn’t agree more and also have another one of his coins due to arrive soon. It’s fantastic to hear the good news, thanks TIF!
I have 2 of his coins coming (hopefully today!). Spoke with him briefly by PM over at Forum and he seemed in good spirits.
Been dealing with my mom and her liver/breast cancer for a year now. So I can see how rough it is. She's been on chemo going on 12 months now with 3 sessions left. Even my neighbor's husband died when his stomach cancer went terminal in a month. Seems like everyone's getting cancer moreso as of late. Not cool. Hoping for the best, Steve.
I hear that Mat, too many family and friends to mention. Seems like it's not a question of "if" but "when?"
To brighten the topic a bit... my two coins arrived today from Steve's collection. Both Ex-CNG: A great tiny obol from Tarentum: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-144304 and a didrachm from Thourioi Lucania: http://www.forumancientcoins.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pos=-144303 Thanks Stevie!
