The five coins in this thread are a mix of old (pre 1933) & modern coins. Do not be fooled by the census figures from the 3rd party grading companies. So many of the gold modern commemorative coins have been melted, including MS70 & PR70 coins, that the census figures are now meaningless. When the gold price reached $1,900.00 per ounce in 2011 many dealers were cracking slabs & sending these coins to smelters . The same reasoning applies to common date old gold. Dealers who had been sitting on large stock piles of old gold that wasn't selling sent their coins to the smelters too . These U.S $5 gold coins have a weight of 8.359 gm, fineness of .900, & .2418 oz of pure gold. The closing price of gold on Friday, 1-10-2020, was $1,562.00 per troy oz. The cost of insured shipping is included with the price of the coin. Anyone interested in these coins can contact me by PM.

This is one of the "Old Green Holders" (OGH). So many of the OGHs have been cracked for up-grades that the holders are now collectible . $400.00 SOLD
