I'm teaching a class on Counterfeits and Fakes & am looking for examples. If you've been burned or have come across an interesting fake in a bulk lot, I would be willing to pay a few dollars for your piece & help save others from the same mistake. I'm especially interested in fakes that are wrong metal / impossible dates / misspellings. If you have any PM fakes (ie, an underweight or under-purity silver trade dollar or $5 gold piece), I would be willing to pay over spot. Scans and photos would also be appreciated if you have fakes in your personal collection but aren't interested in selling.
