    Yeah it could make huge difference. Bewteen 2004 and 2006 was the peak of the strongest bull market we had seen since 1989. If you took the period from 1990 to 2000 for example - you would see virtually no appreciation whatsoever. And 2 to 5 years from now, you may well see no appreciation from 2000 either. Already a great many coins have dropped 50% in value from what they were in 2004-06.

    When collecting coins there are 2 things to overcome before a profit can be realized upon sale. First you have the price spread, that alone is typically about 40%. Then you have the market fluctuations - that can vary from 300-500%.

    And of course we are only talking about good for the grade, problem free coins. Unknowingly buying a problem coin can easily result in you having an 80% spread to overcome.

    The odds are not in your favor for being successful in this endeavor. But by all means, don't believe me. You'll find out on your own eventually.
